April 27, 2026 – In the wake of Mike Minogue’s dominant victory today at the
Massachusetts Republican Party Convention this weekend – posting over 70% of the vote in a three-way race - Massachusetts First PAC Chairman Rob Neuner released the following statement:
“As a decorated combat veteran, pioneering healthcare CEO, and political outsider,
Mike Minogue is the only Republican who can defeat Maura Healey and the Beacon
Hill insiders this November,” said Neuner. “Mike Minogue will conduct the audit Maura Healey is blocking, eliminate her corruption tax, and make Massachusetts affordable again so people young and old, and businesses large and small can achieve their American Dream right here in Massachusetts.”
Neuner commended Mike Kennealy for his strong convention speech and thanked him for his continued service to the MASSGOP. He likewise commended Shortsleeve, while urging him to strongly consider suspending his campaign and uniting the party behind Minogue. Shortsleeve received 15.5% at the convention, barely qualifying for the ballot.
“Let’s face it: the only ‘winner’ of a drawn-out primary is Maura Healey,” said Neuner. “By doing the honorable thing, suspending his campaign, and endorsing Mike Minogue, Mr. Shortsleeve can allow the Party to focus its full attention and resources on winning in November, which will benefit Republicans running for office up and down the ballot.”
With a focus on the general election, Neuner also announced that his organization
launched a new digital ad titled “MASS Exodus” and a new www.FireMauraHealey.com website listing the Top 10 reasons to FIRE Healey and
ELECT Minogue this November.
“We are going to take the fight to Maura Healey and expose her failed record,” said
Neuner. “From blocking the audit that 72% of residents voted for, to raising taxes, piling up debt, and driving people and jobs out of state, Massachusetts is on the brink. It’s time for change.”
